Following Standard Methods, ASTM, EPA, or other methods? Learn tips and tricks to help you comply. If you are a laboratory manager, chemist or technician, this session is about you. This is your opportunity to communicate with your peers regarding issues you may have had in following published methods and what you have done to resolve these issues. As we all know, complying with methods can be subtly difficult due to variability between EPA and State programs, laboratory instruments, lab techniques, vagueness in a method, or variable interpretation of the intent of a method. Topics to be discussed depend on topics brought up by the attendees, and can include won’t be limited to, wet chemistry tests, BOD, metals and other inorganics, chromatographic methods, micro, radio chemical, sampling and sample preservation, sample log in procedures, and so forth. Discussion and suggestions are to be shared by the attendees.
